Social Recreational Programme (SRP) consists of a variety of activities such as games, festive celebrations, dancing and outings.
The outcome of the SRP is to improve the quality of life of seniors, to equip them to manage life transitions, widen their social network and have a better sense of self.
Programmes and Facilities
Games are designed to keep the elderly mentally active. They range from individual to pair to group games where their 5 senses, fine motor skills and cognitive abilities are exercised. For example, logical and mathematical games like moving matchsticks are used to encourage seniors to exercise their logical and counting faculties.
Birthday and Festive Celebrations
Festive celebrations such Chinese New Year Lo-Hei and Christmas parties allowed the elderly to participate in festivities which they otherwise will spend alone at home.
Dance provides a platform for seniors to acquire simple dancing steps and opportunity to meet and make new friends.
Outings provide the seniors and especially the homebound an opportunity to sight see places they have yet visited. It also widens their social network.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9:00am to 11:00am (for Workshops)
Ad-Hoc Basis: 9:00am to 1:00pm (for Outings)
