FaithActs in partnership with Eden Law Corporation (an affiliate of Practice Forte Advisory) is giving a talk on Writing of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA). Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Essential legal documents that many of us would ignore at times because of the belief that it will be costly or difficult, that it is unnecessary for various reasons.

Programmes and Facilities
Writing a Will is critically important for all adults regardless of wealth, marital status, or age.
A Will allows you to:
1. Ensure that your possessions will be distributed as you wish.
2. Expedite the legal process.
3. Reduce stress and heartache for loved ones.
On the other hand, A Lasting Power of Attorney ("LPA") is a legal document which allows a person who is at least 21 years of age ('donor'), to voluntarily appoint one or more persons ('donee(s)'), to make decisions and act on his behalf as his proxy decision maker if he should lose mental capacity one day.
Having an LPA allows a peace of mind should the day you become mentally incapacitated and you need someone to make decisions and act on your behalf.
By having an LPA in place, it also alleviates the stress and difficulties faced by your loved ones if you should lose mental capacity.
